But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Jesus calms a storm on the sea. He viewed this as a political ploy, giving the Syrians a pretext for another attack on Israel. So far as we know, these two never met. He also answers our prayers when He uses doctors and nurses and medicines to bring about healing, just as He used spittle and clay and water in the healing of the man born blind.
